CCN – 3 world premières at the forthcoming international boat shows: 30 m MY Francesca and 27 m MY Freedom will be in the spotlight at the Cannes Yachting Festival from 11 to 16 September 2018. The latter, owned by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, will then be taking part in the Monaco Yacht Show, too(to be held from 26 to 29 September), together with 40 m MY Kanga. These three yachts differ considerably in terms of size, design and building materials, thereby bearing witness to the great flexibility and versatility of the Carrara – based shipyard and to its ability to turn its customers’ wishes and dreams into reality.
“This has been a truly outstanding year – comments CCN’s CEO Diego Michele Deprati, with the launch and the delivery of 3 new yachts, the sale of 2 new Fuoriserie projects all very different in terms of style, materials and performance and a precious cooperation with leading international architects and designers, who add even more prestige to our brand. I think that the models we are going to present at the forthcoming boat shows reflect our shipyard’s ability to create unique, world -class yachts and to meet our customers’ verydiverse needs and their wish for maximum customisation”.
M/Y FRANCESCA is the sixth craft in CCN’s successful line of CCN 102’ Flyingsport yachts and was delivered to an American Owner. This 31 m boat in composite material can boast very slender lines and a skilful, balanced mix of style and functionality, combining the characteristics of a flying bridge yacht with the sporty features and high speed typical of large open yachts.
The metallic light-champagne colour shade endows the hull with elegance and a strong personality the same that can be found in the interiors designed by Tommaso Spadolini, who perfectly interpreted the taste and wishes of an Owner particularly keen on design.
The layout is the classical American one, with a spacious open country kitchen located on the main deck. This area is extremely bright thanks to the wide glazed surfaces of the salon letting in plenty of natural light, and to the skylight above the central dining table, which can be shaded by an electrically driven liquid – crystal film. The furniture of the main deck also includes a comfortable custom made sofa.
Across the yacht, the furniture and furnishings combine classical style and ‘bolder’ solutions, overlaying and alternating different materials, like sycamore and dark wood, glass and satin metal.
Other materials also include a wide range of leathers, supplied by Marine Leather, obtained through different procedures (braided, smooth, pleated) and coming in different colour shades. In the full beam master cabin, located on the lower deck, for instance, dark, lacquered colours alternate with lighter and brighter ones. The marbled sycamore wood on the walls is interruptedbrightly coloured fabric panels by Pierre Frey and is stylishly combined with the soft colour shades of C&C fabrics.
Great care has also been devoted to the selection of furniture, which is entirely custom made andcarefully designed to use lightened materials, so as to ensure no impact on the yacht’s 40 knot required speed performance.
Conceived for cruising in tropical seas, Francesca can boast a large flybridge equipped with a series of comforts, including 4 icemakers and an enhanced performance custom made refrigerator. Indoor, the air conditioning system has been upgraded to higher performances. A state-of- the-art home automation system can also be found onboard, which fully integrates the two MTU 16V2000 M96L engines, the modern steering system, and all onboard utilities.
Another peculiar feature of this outstanding boat is her limited draught (1.20 m), allowing to move safely and quickly even in the shallow American waters, as explicitly required by the Owner.
FRANCESCA can also rely on a 4.40 m Williams water jet tender.
MY FREEDOM
M/Y “Freedom ” is a 27m fully custom yacht purchased by fashion designer Roberto Cavalli, who personally designed her in cooperation with his friend and designer Tommaso Spadolini.
This is a fast motor yacht featuring a LOA of 27 meters and an aluminium hull and super structure, capable of reaching a maximum speed of 40 knots thanks to 3 water-jet engines.
Both the exterior profile and the interior layout reflect the strong personality of the Owner, who asked for a yacht enhancing maximum contact with the sea while al so ensuring the utmost privacy.
To provide some more details, the master cabin located behind the helm station extends across the entire main deck. A central sky light lets in plenty of natural light, while, aft, the large cockpit fitted with concealin g curtains allows to fully enjoy the sea in privacy. The lower deck features 2 guest cabins and comfortable crew quarters, and the fly includes a private area with pilot seat. The tender is stored forward.
CCN_
CCN,which has been part of the Gavio Group since 2011, together with the Baglietto and Bertram brands, specialises in the construction of 86’ and 102’ high-performing planing fibreglass yachts. The ‘Flyingsport’ line was recently joined by a new series of Expedition boats in steel and aluminium called ‘Phileas’ and pencilled by Studio Vallicelli, as well as by the production of ‘small mega yachts’ between 24 m and 35 m in length also in steel and aluminium designed by Studio Spadolini. All CCN’s production revolves around the concepts of flexib ility and a strong focus on the customer, and the new lines pencilled by Bacigalupo (Lysithea50) and Stefano Vafiadis (DOM 123) are no exception to this philosophy. With the “Fuoriserie” line, the product range that the Carrara based boat builder is offering the market has extended further, resulting in a very complete series of highly diversified products and fully custom vessels coming in different materials.
